Short answer
EvronDesk reports cover sales by hour, day, item, category, server, channel and location, plus payments, tax, discounts, voids, refunds, tips, food cost, labour and table turnover. Every report exports to CSV, and the end-of-day Z report prints from the cash drawer screen.
The daily numbers
Open Reports and you see today at a glance: gross sales, number of orders, average check, tax, tips, refunds, voids and what's still open. Switch to yesterday, the last 7 or 30 days, this month or any custom range. Compare with the same period last year.
Sales by hour, item and server
Sales by hour shows when you're actually busy, which is the starting point for every rota. Item and category reports show what sells and what just takes up space on the menu. Server reports show sales, average check and tips by person, useful for coaching rather than competition.
Insights that change decisions
- Menu engineering sorts dishes by popularity and profit, so you know which to promote, reprice or drop.
- Food cost and prime cost compare what you sold with what it cost to make and the labour to make it.
- Labour percentage compares timesheet hours with sales by day.
- Table turnover and ticket times show how long tables stay and how long the kitchen takes.
- Per-cover figures show spend per guest, not just per table.
- Heatmap of sales by day and hour across weeks.
End of day without the stress
At close, count the drawer on the Cash screen. EvronDesk shows expected versus counted cash, over or short by drawer and by person, and prints the Z report. Card totals from the POS can be checked against your terminal's batch report in a minute.
Tax and accounting
Tax is reported by rate, with inclusive and exclusive amounts separated. The journal export maps sales, tax, tips and payment types into a format QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho Books can import. In Pakistan, sales can also be reported to FBR or PRA in real time. See tax integrations.
Frequently asked questions
What reports does a restaurant POS give you?
The essentials are sales by period, item and category; payment methods; discounts, voids and refunds; tax; and an end-of-day (Z) report. Better systems add food cost, labour cost, server performance, table turnover and menu engineering.
What is a Z report?
A Z report is the end-of-day summary that closes the day's sales: totals by payment type, tax, discounts, refunds and the expected cash in the drawer. An X report shows the same figures mid-shift without closing anything.
Can I export reports to Excel or my accounting software?
Yes. Every report exports to CSV, which opens in Excel or Google Sheets. There's also a journal export formatted for QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho Books, and an API endpoint for BI tools.
Can I see reports for all my locations together?
Yes. Switch between a single location and all locations combined.
