Short answer
EvronDesk is a cloud restaurant POS for Canada that handles GST, HST and PST rates by item, tips and auto-gratuity, Interac and credit on your own terminal, and delivery-app orders through Deliverect. It works offline and starts at US$29 a month per location.
Provincial tax, set up once
Canadian restaurants deal with GST alone, HST, or GST plus PST or QST, depending on the province. EvronDesk lets you set the rate that applies to your menu, give items with a different treatment their own rate, and see tax by rate in reports for your filings. Your accountant can then split combined GST and PST amounts for the returns.
Tips and gratuity
Tip presets at payment, custom tips, tips on split bills and automatic gratuity for large parties. Tips are reported by server and shift for payroll.
Payments
Interac debit and credit cards run on your own terminal from your bank or processor. EvronDesk records them, along with cash, gift cards and store credit, without taking a cut.
Delivery apps
Uber Eats, DoorDash and SkipTheDishes orders can land on your kitchen display through an aggregator, matched to your menu by SKU.
Bilingual menus
Quebec restaurants can show a French and an English name for each item on screens, tickets, receipts and the online menu, using EvronDesk's bilingual item names.
Frequently asked questions
Can EvronDesk handle GST, HST and PST?
Yes. Set the combined rate that applies in your province (for example 13% HST in Ontario, or GST plus PST in British Columbia), and give items with a different treatment their own rate. Reports show tax collected by rate.
Does it work with Interac debit?
Yes. Interac and credit cards are taken on your own payment terminal and recorded as card in EvronDesk, so you keep your processor and rates.
Can I take SkipTheDishes orders?
Uber Eats, DoorDash and SkipTheDishes can connect through an aggregator such as Deliverect, depending on its current channel list in Canada.
